Dr. O.P. Yadava is the CEO & Chief Cardiac Surgeon at National Heart Institute, New Delhi, and Director of the All India Heart Foundation. With an illustrious career spanning over 20,000 successful heart surgeries, he is one of India's most distinguished cardiac surgeons.

Dr. Yadava pioneered Total Arterial Myocardial Revascularisation in India in 1992, performing the country's first procedure using Bilateral Internal Mammary Arteries (IMAs), Right Gastroepiploic Artery, and Inferior Epigastric Artery. His areas of special expertise include Total Arterial Myocardial Revascularisation, Off-Pump Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery (OPCAB), Redo Cardiac Surgeries, and Myocardial Revascularisation in Women.

In recognition of his exceptional contributions to cardiac surgery and healthcare, Dr. Yadava was honoured with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award by the Hon'ble President of India, late Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, in 2006. He also received the Dr. B.C. Roy National Award from the Hon'ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee.

Apart from his surgical excellence, Dr. O.P. Yadava has made significant contributions to academic medicine. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Cardiology Today and has previously served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Indian Journal of Thoracic & Cardiovascular Surgery. Through his editorial leadership, he has played a pivotal role in advancing cardiovascular research, promoting scientific excellence, and strengthening medical education in India.
